Stephan Kotze was born and raised in Springbok, Northern Cape. He matriculated at C.J Langenhoven Gymnasium, in Oudtshoorn, where after he joined the South African Police Service (SAPS) in 1988. He officially became part of the Specialized Dog Unit in 1991, stationed in East-Londen. In the 1980’s & 1990 he was appointed in the former Transkei where he formally was part of the fight against Urban Terrorism. In 1995 he was promoted to Unit Commander of the SAPS Dog Unit (K9), in the former Transkei. In 1998 he resigned from the SAPS’s and formally became part of the Private Security Industry in South Africa and for the next decade worked in various Security Firms on managerial level; working against organized and informal crimes. He was appointed as Manager of Guardian Security. He has been working as a Security Consultant in various joint-ventures in Security Industries. Stephan has proven over the past decade that his passion and loyalties not only lies with fighting crime in general, but also in fighting Wildlife crime and empowering those combating anti-poaching terrorism and working hand in hand with a number of Intelligence Units. He also did a presentation in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia for the African and European Union, February 2016.
